Last year, Scott Johannes presented an idea for a low back posture trainer. Since then, a group of 7 doctor of physical therapy students, including myself, have been performing research through UWM on the concept, as well as participating in a 12 week business accelerator program. Through the accelerator program, the idea changed from a posture trainer to an easy to use, objective tool for the measurement of low back posture during functional activities. We have developed a business model canvas, a working prototype, an expansive list of customer contacts, and now have an LLC. So far, we have received great feedback and have a number of practicing physical therapists that would like to use our product in their clinic.
Through this Startup Challenge, we would like to develop a version 2 of our initial prototype that is more technologically advanced, reporting data to a downloadable application.
